Mathira blasts Nadir Ali after unpleasant experience on his podcast
In a recent episode of The Fahad Ansari Show, popular TV personality Mathira didn't hold back as she called out podcast host Nadir Ali for his controversial behavior. Known for his blunt and often inappropriate questioning style, Nadir, who initially gained fame as a prankster and social media content creator, has been facing mounting criticism from guests who feel cornered and disrespected on his show.
Host Fahad, reflecting on the contentious episode, commented, “I saw that episode, and you looked very uncomfortable.” In response, Mathira didn't mince words and divulged, “I thought it would be how it usually is when people invite you to their chat shows. I had good respect for him, but the stunts he pulled…”
She furthered on, “I think, in some regard, it’s not just me. He’s against women. He’s tried to corner every woman who has been on his show. So that’s very wrong.” As per Mathira, the boundary between being funny and being vulgar is a slippery slope. “You can’t pull off anything by being vulgar and posing uncomfortable questions that aren’t even funny.”
Nadir’s interviews, known for crossing the line, have garnered massive viewership, but the backlash is growing. Mathira’s bold stance echoes the sentiments of many who feel that respect and decorum should not be sacrificed for entertainment.
Earlier, the actor made waves after appearing on Ahmad Ali Butt’s YouTube podcast. Famous for her candidness, Mathira prepared herself to answer a series of "naughty questions" posed by the host.
Asking her if she was ready, Ahmad unleashed a bevvy of spicy questions. Giving her a "hot meter" to rate celebrities, Ahmad asked Mathira where Hamza Ali Abbasi would fall on the scale. Without hesitating, Mathira said, "Four." Addressing Ahmad's bewilderment at the rating, Mathira said, "He's married. Keep him cold. Why should I make him hot?"
She gave Fawad Khan a nine, describing him as "elegant." She explained, "He's like the air conditioner - cool." Rating the "new kid on the block" according to Ahmad, Mathira gave Wahaj Ali a six. "I like older men, not boys," Mathira said, offering an explanation. When asked to rate Ahmed Ali Akbar, Mathira asked about his age. "I think he's mature...eight," said Mathira. "I like him because of Parizaad. Very strong actor."
