Clinton Kane has responded to accusations made by his ex Brooke Schofield about his mother's death and his accent.
Schofield had posted a 14-part series on TikTok detailing their relationship and making allegations about Kane's past, including claims that he lied about his mother and brother's deaths.
Kane's representative confirmed to PEOPLE that the allegations are "untrue" and that Schofield's recent comments are an attempt to bring attention to her own podcast.
The representative also clarified that Kane was born in the Philippines and lived in Australia for a time as a child, and that he considers Australia to be his home.
Regarding his mother's death, Kane's representative said that he was lucky enough to have a mother-like figure in his teenage years who sadly passed away.
Kane regrets the way this devastating news was communicated at the time and genuinely felt that he had lost an irreplaceable mother-figure.
Schofield's allegations also included claims that Kane lied about his accent, saying that he is not Australian.
Kane's representative confirmed that he has never been disingenuous about his accent and that he considers Australia to be his home.
Kane's representative also confirmed that he has moved forward from the drama of his previous relationship and remains focused and committed to putting out new music.
