Pakistani actor Mubashir Mehmood who made his debut in Dar Si Jati Hai Sila, is now starring alongside Sajal Ali and Hamza Sohail in Zard Patton Ka Bunn. In a recent interview with a local publication, the actor expressed his admiration for co-star Sajal while addressing the on-screen chemistry between their characters, which has garnered a lot of appreciation of late.

“When I read the script for the drama, I really liked it. Plus, the best thing was that Sajal Ali was in it because I’ve always been a fan of hers,” started off Mubashir. The actor continued to sing praise for his co-star. “She’s very natural. She’s a very good actor,” he said enthusiastically.

“Another reason I couldn’t say no to the project was because Saife Hasan was directing it, and Mustafa Afridi wrote it, so this was a project that I don’t think anyone could refuse. Any other actor in my place would try their best to be a part of this project,” Mubashir said, now shifting his admiration to the project.

The actor’s compliments for the script were more than justified, as audiences have been hooked to the drama since its first episode aired. While most dramas focus on social commentary as a backbone for their storytelling, Zard Patton Ka Bunn executes the task skilfully and does so without sensationalising social issues for the sake of ratings.

While speaking about the challenges playing his character, Roshan, Mubashir stated, “A challenge was that I had just played Faizan,” referring to the antagonistic character he played in Jeevan Nagar just before being cast in Zard Patton Ka Bunn. “I was adamant to make sure that Faizan did not come through in any way in this character. Roshan is the complete opposite, he’s very sweet.”
