Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige recently shared exciting details about the highly anticipated Fantastic Four film. In an interview on The Official Marvel Podcast, Feige confirmed that the movie, starring Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing, and Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, will be set in a version of the 1960s.

Feige acknowledged observant fans who noticed the cityscape in promotional artwork didn't quite match the real New York of the '60s, hinting at an alternate timeline within the Marvel Universe.

Additionally, Feige announced that filming for the Fantastic Four is set to begin on Monday, July 29th, the day after Comic-Con. Director Matt Shakman has already relocated to London in preparation for production.

Feige expressed his enthusiasm for bringing these iconic Marvel characters to life on the big screen, emphasizing that they haven't been explored significantly in the MCU thus far.

The Fantastic Four cast also includes Julia Garner as Silver Surfer, Paul Walter-Hauser, John Malkovich, Ralph Ineson, and Natasha Lyonne. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 25, 2025.
