A woman driver was charged with over speeding and allegedly running over a motorway patrol officer's foot, according to police reports on Wednesday. The incident occurred at the main Islamabad toll plaza, leading to a case being filed at Nasirabad police station.
Police reported that the patrol officer's boot was torn as a result of the vehicle running over his foot. The woman's identity was confirmed, and a speeding ticket was issued on her British driving licence.
The woman was fined Rs2,500 for over speeding, which was paid by a 22-year-old man in the vehicle. Police noted that before and after the payment, the woman misbehaved with the motorway police and issued serious threats.

According to the case, the woman ran over the patrol officer’s foot after paying the fine and then fled the scene.
A similar case made headlines earlier this year when a woman was seen in a video speeding away after hitting a motorway police officer while being issued a fine ticket at the Motorway Toll Plaza in Islamabad.
A case was registered against her at the Naseerabad police station a day later on January 2, 2024, on the complaint of Patrolling Officer Mohammad Saber, under the provisions of interfering with government duties and resisting action, car hit and run, and injuring government officials.
The suspect was arrested three months later by Rawalpindi police after the video of the incident got widely circulated on social media.
