Yasir Nawaz and Nida Yasir respond to backlash over Hajj videos and photos

Couple defends sharing Hajj photos, stating it's a personal and memorable experience

Pakistani actor and producer Yasir Nawaz has responded to criticism over his decision to share photos and videos of his recent Hajj pilgrimage.

Nawaz, along with his wife Nida Yasir, documented their pilgrimage and posted the content on their YouTube channel, drawing significant backlash from social media users.

In a recent vlog, Nawaz addressed the criticism, stating that performing Hajj was a memorable moment in his life, and like others, he wanted to capture and share these precious memories.

“For me, performing Hajj is a life-changing experience, and I chose to document it just as other pilgrims did,” he said.

Nawaz emphasised that many pilgrims from around the world also took photos and videos during their Hajj to preserve these memories.

He added, “What we did during Hajj, the prayers and rituals, is between us and Allah. Others have no right to comment on it.”

The actor expressed indifference towards the negative comments, saying, “The criticism doesn’t affect me. People who criticised our Hajj photos and videos should focus on their own deeds.”

Meanwhile, Nida Yasir, also an actress and TV host, wished for guidance for their critics, hoping they too could experience the blessings of Hajj.

She said, “May Allah guide those who criticised us and bless them with the opportunity to perform Hajj as well.”

Yasir Nawaz and Nida Yasir had recently completed their Hajj pilgrimage and shared their journey through vlogs on their YouTube channel.

The couple’s decision to post photos and videos sparked a heated debate on social media, with many users criticising their actions.
