Police strive to trace family after body found in fields

Unknown persons killed a woman by putting a noose around her neck and threw her body in agricultural fields in the Saddar area.

The police took possession of the body and shifted it to a hospital. They started a search for the relatives of the deceased.

Sub-Inspector Saleem Raza stated in a report registered at the Saddar police station that the 27-year-old unidentified woman had been found dead by the police during patrolling in the fields near the Tipu Gujjar area.

He stated that the victim had been killed by unknown persons who had put a noose around her neck. The victim was wearing black shalwar and scarf with brown shirt.

The police shifted the body to the Allied Hospital.

Meanwhile, a man died and another was hospitalised while cleaning a manhole in a private housing society in the Nishatabad area.

According to sources, 35-year-old Kaleemullah and 44-year-old Muneer were cleaning a manhole when they fainted. A rescue team removed them from the manhole. However, Kaleemullah had died. According to the police, both victims were employees of the housing society.

A police spokesperson said Kaleem was cleaning the manhole when he fainted, prompting his colleague Muneer to attempt to rescue him, but he also fell unconscious.

The unconscious worker was stated to be in a critical condition in the Allied Hospital.

Meanwhile, Ghulam Muhammad Abad police have arrested nine individuals for aerial firing at a henna function in Siddhupura, which resulted in injuries to five people. The incident occurred during a Mehndi celebration, where some guests began firing in jubilation.

City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad, Kamran Adil, took serious notice of the incident and ordered the immediate arrest of the culprits. In response, he suspended the SHO of Ghulam Muhammad Abad police station and the Incharge of Siddhupura police post for their negligence.
