Fans displayed mixed reactions on Tuesday morning after the release of leaked set photos from the upcoming 'Superman' movie surfaced online.
These images provided fans with their first full look at David Corenswet in his superhero costume. The 30-year-old actor was seen on set alongside Edi Gathegi, who is portraying Mister Terrific.
As the shoot progressed, a video emerged showing Corenswet in action, filming a scene amidst wreckage. Wearing the iconic suit and cape for the new James Gunn-directed film, now simply titled 'Superman' (previously 'Superman: Legacy'), Corenswet was seen striking the classic superhero pose.
Adding to the excitement, the first images of Rachel Brosnahan in costume as Lois Lane also appeared online. The Emmy-winning actress, renowned for her role in 'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,' was captured filming a dramatic crash scene with Corenswet.
In this scene, Superman assists the armed forces following a crash, likely involving an airplane. Brosnahan was seen emerging from the plane with Wendell Pierce, who portrays Perry White, the editor-in-chief of the Daily Planet.
Nicholas Hoult, playing the supervillain Lex Luthor, was also spotted on set. Before filming began, Brosnahan was seen walking around with a cloak covering her costume. However, paparazzi captured moments as the actors removed their black robes to start filming their scenes.
The highly anticipated movie, which aims to deliver a fresh and dynamic take on the beloved superhero saga, is scheduled for release on July 11, 2025.
