The Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave warning, predicting extreme temperatures for various southern regions of the country.

Karachi's temperature is expected to reach up to 41°C today due to a partial heatwave.

The weather in Karachi is forecasted to remain hot and humid over the next three days, with daytime temperatures anticipated to range between 38°C and 40°C.

In other regions, temperatures are expected to be even higher. Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas, Umerkot, and Badin may see temperatures ranging from 44°C to 46°C.

Meanwhile, Jacobabad, Dadu, Shikarpur, Larkana, Qambar Shahdadkot, and Shaheed Benazirabad will likely experience temperatures between 46°C and 48°C.

Additionally, the Meteorological Department has predicted that Tharparkar and Umerkot may witness light rain with thunderstorms and gusty winds by the end of the day.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities during peak heat hours.

The heatwave poses health risks, especially to vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, and those with pre-existing health conditions.
