South Africa have qualified for the T20 World Cup semi-finals following a crucial win over West Indies by three wickets in the Super Eight stage of the ICC T20 World Cup.

Chasing a target of 124 runs, South Africa achieved victory in a tense finish at Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium in North Sound, Antigua.

South Africa won the toss and opted to field first. West Indies faced an early setback when Shai Hope was dismissed for a duck. Kyle Mears provided some stability, contributing 35 runs, but the rest of the top order faltered. Nicholas Pooran managed only one run before being sent back to the pavilion.

Roston Chase played a pivotal role for the West Indies, scoring 52 runs off 42 balls, including two sixes and three fours. His efforts helped the team post a total of 123 runs. Andre Russell added 15 runs before his dismissal.

South Africa's bowling attack was led by Shams Tabrizi, who took three crucial wickets. Marko Jensen, Adam Markram, Keshav Maharaj, and Kagiso Rabada each chipped in with a wicket, effectively curtailing the West Indies' innings.

In response, South Africa's chase was marked by steady contributions from their batsmen. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals, they managed to stay on course and eventually reached the target with three wickets in hand.

This victory marks South Africa's advancement to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup, securing their position as one of the top contenders in the tournament.
