A fire broke out in the huts of nomads near Muchch Pul in the suburbs of Dawood Khel, resulting in the death of a three-year-old girl and severe injuries to four others.

The fire, which reportedly started due to solar panel sparking, claimed the life of Nazak Bibi, daughter of Gul Khan.

The injured, identified as Babu, Muhammad, Noor Bibi, and Shaista, wife of Lal Khan, were immediately rushed to DHQ Hospital for treatment.

Rescue 1122 teams, led by District Emergency Officer Engineer Naveed Iqbal, responded to the incident. They managed to control the fire and provided initial medical assistance to the injured before transferring them to the hospital.

Deputy Commissioner Khalid Javaid Goraya visited the affected area and DHQ Hospital to oversee the treatment of the injured.

He inspected the burn unit and ensured that specialist doctors were on hand to provide the necessary medical care.

The DC also directed the medical superintendent to ensure all medical facilities and free treatment for the injured.

During his visit, Deputy Commissioner Goraya expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident and assured the affected families of full support from the district administration.
