In a recent press conference promoting his upcoming film, actor Annu Kapoor was asked about the controversial incident involving actor-politician Kangana Ranaut. The incident, which took place at the Chandigarh International Airport, involved Kangana allegedly being slapped by a CISF constable.

When initially questioned about the incident, Kapoor attempted to evade the topic. “Who is this Kangana? Is she a big heroine? Is she beautiful?” he asked, as per Hindustan Times. Upon being informed by a media person that Ranaut is not only a well-known actress but also a newly elected Member of Parliament from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, Kapoor expressed surprise. “Oh, she has become that too. She is powerful now,” he remarked.

Despite his initial reluctance, Kapoor eventually addressed the incident more seriously. He advised that Kangana should pursue legal action against the CISF constable involved in the altercation, noting that he would have done the same in her position.

The incident in question occurred shortly after Kangana’s victory in the Lok Sabha elections as a candidate for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She was on her way to New Delhi for a National Democratic Alliance meeting when the altercation happened.

According to Kangana, as she was passing through security at the Chandigarh International Airport, she was slapped by CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur. Kangana alleged that the assault was prompted by her recent comments on Khalistan. Following the incident, an FIR was lodged against the constable. As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how the legal proceedings will develop and what repercussions, if any, will arise from this high-profile incident.
