Loose Women's Brenda Edwards embraces single life at 55, says she Is 'too busy for love'

Loose Women's Brenda Edwards is prioritizing busy career over dating

Brenda Edwards, star of "Loose Women," has shared that she is embracing her single life and has no immediate plans to enter a relationship. The 55-year-old television personality and mother expressed her contentment with being single in a recent interview with Woman's Own.

"No, I'm single and loving it. I don't need a man, or a woman. I'm fine with just me, myself and I," Edwards said. She added, "You've got to enjoy your own company. Plus, I'm really busy, so I haven't got the time to date."

Edwards, who gained fame on "The X Factor" in 2005, has since built a successful career in musical theatre, starring in productions such as "Hairspray" and "We Will Rock You." Despite her success, she mentioned that she has lost contact with the judges from her time on "The X Factor," though mentioning that Sharon Osbourne did attend some of her performances. 

"Sharon Osbourne came to see me star in a couple of shows, like 'We Will Rock You' and 'Chicago', but I'm not really in touch with any of the judges," Edwards noted. She added that she remains in contact with some fellow contestants, including Chico, Andy Abraham, Fleur East, and The Conway Sisters.

Edwards also expressed her support for the return of "The X Factor," which ended in 2018, and her interest in participating again. "I'd love it to return and I'd love to go on it again because during my time there we used backing tracks, but then two years later they introduced live bands. I think any singer would love to sing with a live band," she enthused.
