I gave it my heart and soul: Kubra Khan declares ‘Alif’ her most memorable project
Kubra Khan has carved out a stellar career since her debut in the film Na Maloom Afraad, and her foray into television with Sang e Mar Mar. Over the years, she has become one of Pakistan's most adored stars. Her latest film, Abhi, is lighting up theatres, while her drama Noor Jahan is captivating television audiences. However, in a recent interview, the actor revealed one project she ranks above all others.
In conversation with The Current, Kubra reminisced about her most memorable project, Alif. "I gave my heart and soul to Alif," she confessed. "It left an impact. Even with Jannat Se Aagay, I put in a lot of effort because in Jannat I had to be seven different personalities in one go."
Discussing Jannat Se Aagay, Kubra revealed an unexpected twist: despite the drama’s less than positive portrayal of morning show hosts, she didn’t receive any backlash. "I have so much respect for these people. Honestly, doing morning shows is not easy. Waking up at 5AM every single day, giving your energy, giving your best. Your energy can never die down because you’re the captain of the ship."
Kubra also offered pearls of wisdom for aspiring actors who wish to make a name for themselves in the industry. "It depends what kind of mark you want to make. Do you want a place in peoples’ hearts, or do you want to make a mark through your work? That’s very important." She added, "When I started out, I didn’t understand which one I wanted. To me, my work was really important and I knew if the work was good, then you’ll keep on getting more."
