PM extends Eid ul Adha greetings to president, political leaders

Shehbaz Sharif reiterates commitment to work together for Pakistan's betterment

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended Eid ul Adha greetings and expressed good wishes to political leaders via telephone.

According to a press release from the Prime Minister's Office on Monday, PM Shehbaz made a telephonic call to President Asif Ali Zardari. Both leaders exchanged Eid ul Adha greetings and best wishes. They also discussed the overall political and national situation.

On this occasion, both leaders reiterated their commitment to work together for the betterment of Pakistan.

Shehbaz Sharif also contacted Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, extending his Eid ul Adha wishes.

The prime minister also spoke with Abdul Aleem Khan, Sardar Khalid Magsi, Sardar Akhtar Mengal, Aftab Sherpao, and Professor Sajid Mir, offering them Eid greetings and best wishes.

During his conversations, the prime minister reiterated the commitment to work together for Pakistan's betterment during this joyous and blessed occasion. He expressed hope that all parties in the coalition government would continue to play their roles in ensuring the country's economic stability.

Shehbaz Sharif assured the allied leaders that through continuous hard work, Pakistan would regain its lost standing in the world.

He also highlighted that the new fiscal year's budget includes every possible measure to provide relief to the public.

The political leaders reciprocated the Eid greetings, expressed good wishes, and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the coalition government.
