Goat thief shot dead in Lahore's Mustafa Town

Police recover stolen goat a short distance from the scene of the incident

LAHORE:

A goat theft attempt turned deadly in Lahore's Mustafa Town when a thief was killed in a shootout.

According to the police, four thieves broke into Asif's house to steal goats. When the family raised the alarm, the thieves opened fire.

In the ensuing crossfire, one thief, identified as Ejaz from Hasan Town, was killed on the spot, while the other three managed to escape with a goat. Police have found no prior criminal record for Ejaz, who has since been transferred to the morgue.

However, the police recovered the stolen goat a short distance from the scene of the incident.

The search for the three accomplices is ongoing through CCTV footage and officials are gathering evidence from the scene for further investigation.
