As the first season of Baby Baji wrapped up, viewers were left in suspense over the fate of the three couples whose relationship struggles were central to the show. Thankfully, this curiosity has been rewarded as Baby Baji is set to continue its heartfelt saga. Actors Sunita Marshall, Hassan Ahmed and Javeria Saud took to Instagram in December last year, sharing the first official teaser of Baby Baji Ki Bahuwain in a collaborative post.

In a recent appearance on a local morning show, Baby Baji cast members Sunita alongside her real-life and on-screen partner, Hassan spilled the beans on the much-anticipated sequel. The couple confirmed that filming for Season 2 is already underway and that fans won't have to wait too long for its return. Sunita shared, “We are currently shooting Baby Baji Season 2. Well, I can’t say anything about the release date as it will take time. It will be the continuation of the previous story.” The first season concluded dramatically with the death of the beloved Baby Baji, portrayed by Samina Ahmed, leaving viewers eager for more.

Adding to the excitement, Hassan teased a few fresh ideas this season, assuring fans that these additions are "sophisticated" and anything but senseless. “I think it will probably be airing in September or October,” he hinted, giving hope to those counting down the days.

The pair also addressed some of the criticism the drama has faced. Sunita admitted, “We all admit that it had an abrupt ending. Also, we didn’t have any plans for the season 2. Producers decided to go for season 2 after a high public demand and pressure.”

The plot of Baby Baji centres on a household led by the titular matriarch, who lives with her four sons and ailing husband. After her husband's death, Baby Baji takes on the Herculean task of keeping her family united, though she faces considerable challenges in balancing the needs and ambitions of her children.

The series' cast will return, with real-life couples Saud Qasmi and Javeria, and Sunita and Hassan reprising their roles. They will be joined by Tuba Anwar, Junaid Jamshed Niazi, and Fazal Hussain, promising fans another round of captivating performances and engaging storylines.
