WATCH: Israeli soldiers desecrate mosque in Rafah, turn it into restaurant

Israeli soldiers turned mosque into a military outpost, defacing walls with graffiti, and tampering with contents

In a blatant act of disrespect for Palestinian religious and cultural sites, Israeli soldiers have converted a mosque at the Rafah Crossing into a headquarters, restaurant, and entertainment centre.

The Rafah Crossing mosque, located just 280 meters from Egyptian territory, has been the target of Israel's horrific assault.

A video shared on social media showed soldiers cooking inside the mosque, defacing its walls with graffiti, and tampering with its contents.

The incident comes amid a surge of Israeli military activity in the Rafah area. Residents reported that Israeli tanks pushed deeper into the western area of Rafah during one of the most intense nights of bombardment from air, ground, and sea, forcing many families to flee their homes and tents under cover of darkness.

Furthermore, Israeli forces advanced towards the Al-Mawasi area of Rafah near the beach, which has been designated as a humanitarian zone in all announcements and maps published by the Israeli army since the beginning of its Rafah offensive in May.

However, the Israeli military has denied launching any strikes inside the Al-Mawasi humanitarian zone.
