Prince Harry is set for a challenging weekend as two significant events put his ongoing conflict with King Charles in the spotlight.

On Saturday, June 15, the Royal Family will gather to celebrate Trooping the Colour, which marks the 'official' birthday of the British monarch, a tradition spanning over 260 years, despite the King’s actual birthday being in November.

The following day, June 16, is Father’s Day, further complicating matters.

Speaking to the Mirror, royal expert and author Tom Quinn explained, "King Charles' birthday and Father's Day are both a nightmare for Harry. He knows the world will be watching to see whether he is big enough to reach out to his father. He is determined to try to ignore his troubled relationship with his father and he will certainly send a warm message."

Quinn continued, "It's easy to forget that Harry really does love his father, he just hates the fact that Charles seems always to support William when there is a family dispute."

Prince Harry is reportedly finding it difficult to arrange a call with his father, as King Charles is not content with infrequent phone calls, especially concerning his two youngest grandchildren.

Currently undergoing cancer treatment, the King has expressed his dissatisfaction with only seeing his grandchildren through video calls. He has reportedly met Prince Archie, five, only a few times and Princess Lilibet, who recently turned three, just once.
