10-year-old shoots himself with father’s gun over 'unfulfilled wish'

In a tragic incident in Karachi a 10-year-old boy took his own life using his father's licensed pistol after his request was denied, Express News reported.

The boy succumbed to a gunshot wound at his home in the city’s Ghaghar Phatak area. His body was transported to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) by ambulance for legal formalities.

SHO Ghulam Hussain Pirzada claimed that the young boy committed suicide using his father's licensed pistol.

He said that the boy had made a request to his father which was not fulfilled, leading him to take the pistol from his father's bag and end his life.

The police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
