'Carry On Jatta' actor took to IG to gush over the Pakistani cricketer

Indian actor and model Sonam Bajwa took to her Instagram Story recently to share a video featuring Pakistani cricketer Naseem Shah in an endearing moment with a young fan. The video, which went viral on social media, captures Shah consoling a crying child during what appears to be a meet-and-greet session.

In the clip, the 21-year-old fast bowler can be seen approaching the tearful young fan and offering him an autograph, saying, "Don't cry." In a lighthearted yet thoughtful gesture, Shah further tells the child, "I can also give Babar Azam's autograph," referring to Pakistan's star batter and captain, while signing for the kid.

Touched by Shah's compassionate conduct, Bajwa shared the reel on her Instagram Story, declaring it to be "so wholesome and cute," accompanied by a white heart emoji.

The Punjabi actor’s appreciation for the Pakistani cricketer's kindhearted act has garnered attention from fans and media outlets across the border. Shah's sweet interaction with the young fan has been widely praised on social media, with many lauding his down-to-earth nature and ability to connect with his admirers.

The Carry On Jatta actor has made no secret of her admiration for many Pakistani celebs. Joining the top ranks is also Fawad Khan whose charms beguile millions across borders. Earlier this month, Bajwa once again reminded the world of her crush on the Pakistani heartthrob, crowning the star her “forever crush.” 

“Any girl will gasp when she hears his name, no?” she proposed in a recent interview when promoting her upcoming film Kudi Haryane Val Di. “Everyone knows he is my all-time crush!” gushed the actor. When asked jokingly by the interviewer if Fawad should be considered Punjab’s son-in-law,” Bajwa laughed, blushed, and protested, “He’ll be so embarrassed to hear that! But I’ve loved him in everything.”

Expanding on his fanbase at home, Fawad has gained a major following in India in the wake of his roles in Kapoor & Sons, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, and Khoobsurat. Having fully ensnared Bajwa’s heart, Fawad’s loyal following across the border remains strong and true. 

Bajwa’s infatuation with Fawad stretches back to 2022 when she confessed to holding a candle for the Zindagi Gulzar Hai star in a conversation with Connect FM Canada. When asked about the stars that stirred something deep within her, Sonam had said cryptically, “That is a mystery. The only person I want to have an affair with is already married.”
