Carlos Alcaraz has triumphed at the French Open, securing his maiden title at Roland Garros with a hard-fought victory over Alexander Zverev.

The 21-year-old tennis star showcased resilience, overcoming a challenging start to win the match 6-3, 2-6, 5-7, 6-1, 6-2, marking his third Grand Slam title and making him the youngest man to win major titles on clay, grass, and hard courts.

With tennis giants like Roger Federer retired, Rafael Nadal nearing the end of his illustrious career, and Novak Djokovic experiencing a dip in form, Alcaraz is poised to dominate the sport.

However, the young Spaniard remains humble about his future, acknowledging the daunting records set by Nadal and Djokovic. "Both things are out of the ordinary," Alcaraz remarked, referring to Nadal's 14 French Open titles and Djokovic's 24 Grand Slam wins. "The 24 Grand Slams I hope I can but it is almost impossible."

As he prepares for the grass court season and the defense of his Wimbledon title, Alcaraz is also looking forward to the Paris Olympics next month.

He expressed excitement about the prospect of playing doubles with his idol, Nadal, aiming to bring a medal home for Spain.

Reflecting on his journey, Alcaraz shared that winning at Roland Garros was a dream come true, a sentiment rooted in his childhood ambition.

"Something that I dreamt about, being in this position, since I was started playing tennis, since I was five, six years old. So it's a great, great feeling," he said.

Despite recent challenges, including a right arm injury that affected his performance in the lead-up to the French Open, Alcaraz described this triumph as his proudest moment.

"Right now lifting the Roland Garros trophy, knowing everything that I have been through the last month with the injuries and all that stuff, I don't know. Probably this one," he revealed.
