‘Alif’ stars Hamza Ali Abbasi and Sajal Ali rumoured to reunite for new drama 'Faraar'
Pakistani television fans have reason to celebrate as two of the industry’s brightest stars, Sajal Ali and Hamza Ali Abbasi, might be teaming up once again for a new project. According to a report by Pakistani Cinema, the upcoming drama serial will be titled Faraar, starring the duo in lead roles after their previous on-screen success in the highly acclaimed drama Alif in 2019.
Sajal and Hamza’s emotional performances in Alif garnered widespread admiration and established them as a beloved on-screen couple. Faraar will be directed by the talented Syed Wajahat Hussain, who recently helmed the successful drama serial Khaie.
With the new project already in production, Mustafa Afridi will be penning the script after receiving applause for Sang e Mar Mar and Sang e Mah. The drama is being produced by Next Level Entertainment, a production house that has a reputation for delivering high-quality content. With such a stellar team behind it, Faraar is expected to be a major hit.
Fans of Sajal and Hamza are eagerly awaiting this new project and are excited to see the chemistry and exceptional acting they are sure to bring to the screen once again. The anticipation for Faraar is palpable, and it is set to be one of the most talked-about dramas in the coming months.
In other news, Hamza recently received accolades for his role in the hit drama series Jaan e Jahan. Meanwhile, Sajal has been captivating audiences with her powerful performance in the currently on-air series Zard Patton Ka Bunn, opposite Hamza Sohail.
Alif was penned by noted Pakistani playwright Umera Ahmed, who has previously written numerous hit plays like Zindagi Gulzar Hai. The 2019 drama series marked Ahmed’s return to TV after four long years, during which she wrote the screenplay for Baaghi, the Saba Qamar-starrer based on the life of the late Qandeel Baloch.
She also lent her talents to the Indian film 5 Rupya, which starred Shabana Azmi and was directed by Piyush Panjuani. The film was screened at the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) 2017 and Ahmed attended the event with its cast and crew as well.
