The seductive music video, directed by Christian Breslauer, features Grande's character at home brewing a love potion clearly intended for her newest fixation, Mayor Max Sterling, portrayed by Badgley.
True to a stalker's style, Grande's apartment is filled with photos and eerie drawings of Badgley as she watches Mayor Max deliver a speech on TV about the city's rat issue.
When Badgley announces the plan to release numerous cats into the streets to combat the rat problem, Grande takes it quite literally, dressing up as a seductive Catwoman, complete with a mask and leather attire.
Grande sneaks into Badgley's apartment to give him her potion, only to discover she doesn't need it.
"The Boy is Mine," Grande's third single from her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, is her rendition of the 1998 classic hit by Brandy and Monica.
