Ronaldo's supportive comment on Mbappe's dream move to Real Madrid becomes the most-liked on Instagram.

Cristiano Ronaldo, already the king of Instagram with 631 million followers, has smashed another record on the platform. 

The football legend set the record for the most-liked comment in Instagram history, responding to Kylian Mbappe's announcement about joining Real Madrid.

Mbappe shared his excitement on Monday, stating, “A dream come true. So happy and proud to be part of my dream club. It's impossible to explain how happy and excited I feel right now. I can't wait to see you, Madridistas, and thank you for your incredible support.”

Ronaldo, known for his time as Los Blancos' legendary number 7, replied warmly, “My turn to 👀 Excited to see you light up the Bernabéu. ⚽️💪 #HalaMadrid.” 

This reply garnered over four million likes, setting a new record on the social media platform.

The exchange left Mbappe feeling “emotional,” as Ronaldo has been the French superstar’s idol since childhood. 

Growing up, Mbappe idolized Ronaldo even more than his former teammate Lionel Messi. 

As Mbappe starts his chapter at the Santiago Bernabéu wearing the number 9 jersey, he looks forward to stepping into the shoes of his hero. 

He will have to wait another year to possibly don the iconic number 10, which is currently held by Luka Modric.
