Outlander's Sam Heughan states, Taylor Swift will forget Travis Kelce after meeting him

Sam Heughan jokes that Taylor Swift will 'shake off' Travis Kelce for him during her Scotland concert.

In a light-hearted video shared on Instagram on June 5, Outlander star Sam Heughan, 44, humorously suggested that Taylor Swift might forget about her current beau, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, once she sees Heughan in the audience during her Eras Tour stop in Scotland.

"We're going to go see Taylor Swift play in Scotland, and I think most of the cast is going," Heughan said while dressed in full costume. He continued, "She obviously doesn't know this, but when she comes to Scotland and she sees me in the audience, she's going to forget all about ... him [Travis Kelce] and fall for a man in a ginger wig."

Heughan further quipped, "How can she resist? She's going to shake him off and take me out instead. I'm really excited!" The actor paired his video with Swift's track "Ready For It?" and captioned it, "Welcome to Scotland Taylor! 🏴. JAMMF is a Swiftie ."

This playful banter comes amidst Swift and Kelce's high-profile romance. The couple's relationship began when Kelce shared his plan to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number during her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City. Since then, Swift has supported Kelce by attending the Super Bowl and they were seen together at the Coachella Music Festival in April. Swift has even referenced their relationship in her latest album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’

Heughan's video followed his sighting in London on May 29, where he was seen holding hands with an unidentified woman. The pair, dressed in matching all-black ensembles, strolled through the city's Soho neighborhood.

While Heughan has not publicly confirmed any relationships, he has previously expressed his desire to find love. In a May 2023 interview with PEOPLE promoting his romantic comedy *Love Again*, Heughan described himself as "a romantic at heart" and shared, "I've done all of the gift-giving and turning up when least expected, but, so far, I'm still looking."

Taylor Swift is set to perform from Friday, June 7 to Sunday, June 9 at the Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh.
