Qureshi faces 55 cases in Islamabad, Punjab

There is no case either against the senior PTI leader in NAB or FIA

As many as 55 cases are registered against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the various police stations of the federal capital and Punjab.

The Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Aamir Farooq heard the plea of Mehar Bano Qureshi seeking details of cases against her father Shah Mahmood Qureshi. During the hearing, the court was presented with the report containing the details of cases against the PTI leader.

As per report, some 17 cases are lodged against Qureshi in Islamabad and 38 cases in Punjab, with no case registered in Balochistan, Sindh and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Besides, there is no case either against the senior PTI leader in NAB or FIA.

The court inquired if there are so many police stations in the federal capital where 17 cases could be registered.
