Check-posts of police commandos have been set up at 36 toll plazas across Sindh and high-definition CCTV cameras have been installed to prevent smuggling and transfer of stolen vehicles including two-wheelers under safe city programme.
Police commandos will their duties at these check posts round-the-clock to monitor vehicles and scan suspicious ones.
CCTV cameras will be live from Rapid Response Force, Police Range and Command and Control of the Central Police Office. These advanced cameras will save the data by identifying the number plates and the faces of the occupants of the vehicles.
DIG Rapid Response Force (RRF) Faisal Abdullah Chachar mentioned, if any person or vehicle wanted by the police pass through any toll plaza where cameras so the alert will be issued by the police officers posted are installed, anti-vehicle lifting cell and command and control system will be alerted through an advanced technology. Following the message the police will chase the vehicle and arrest the accused.
