LAHORE:

A hidden camera was found on Sunday in the washroom of a women’s hostel in Johar Town, Lahore.

Investigation revealed that the hostel management had surreptitiously placed camera in the washroom, violating the privacy of the female student residents.

The camera was allegedly placed to record obscene videos of the students. The distressing discovery was made when uncle of a student complained about the issue.

Prompting a swift response from the authorities, a case was filed against seven individuals at the Johar police station including the hostel owners Mian Salim and his wife Fauzia.

Others named in the case include Saghir, Tavar Shahzad, Mohammad Zubair, Irfan, and Ali Hassan. The hostel accommodated more than 40 female students from various cities in Punjab.

Upon learning of the case and police raid, all the accused fled the scene. The police took immediate action, clearing the hostel premises and initiating a thorough investigation.

Statements from the affected students were recorded to corroborate the presence of the hidden camera in the washroom, further substantiating the gravity of the situation.
