Police say tribal dispute believed to be the cause behind the killings

HYDERABAD:

Heartless assailants shot dead a man and his three sons aged nine, 11 and 13 in Bakshapur area of Kashmore-Kandhkot district on Friday. The police informed that 36 years old Shabbir Ahmed Bhangwar and his sons were sprayed with bullets by assailants riding on two motorbikes near Chanhko stop on the Indus Highway.

The attackers escaped after shooting them dead. Bhangwar's slain sons include 13-year-old Muzamil, 11-year-old Majir and nine-year-old Shahzad. The police shifted the bodies to the rural health centre in a tractor trolley. According to the police, an ongoing dispute between two groups of Bhangwar is believed to be the cause behind the killings. The incident's FIR has not been lodged.

Police catch villager for killing sister, cousin

A man allegedly shot dead his sister and a cousin with varying causes of double murder emerging from the family sources. The incident happened on Friday in village Ali Bahar near Keenjhar lake in Thatta district.

The police alleged that the suspect Haneef Soomro first critically injured his sister, 25 years old Amnat, and later he went to a hotel to kill 25 years old Asif Soomro. One of the reasons is said to be an ongoing clash between families of Haneef and Asif. The other reported motive behind the twin murders is honour. Haneef tried to escape but Keenjhar police rounded him up. The incident's FIR has not been lodged.
