GUJRAT:

A man, his four children, and nephew got burnt as a fire erupted at their residence in Gujrat on Friday.

According to Rescue teams, a fire broke out suddenly due to a short circuit in the house of Muhammad Naeem, a resident of Mohalla Islampura Lala Musa.

The fire engulfed a plastic gas pipeline passing nearby, increasing the intensity of the fire.

As a result, 8-year-old girl Muskan and 6-year-old Muhammad Musa were burnt to death.

Additionally, 60-year-old Naeem, 16-year-old Rahmatullah, 12-year-old Tayyab and 17-year-old Abdul Rehman were seriously injured who were taken to the hospital.

According to Rescue teams, the body of Naeem, the father of the children, is 100% burnt, whose condition is described as very critical.

Meanwhile, four youths drowned while bathing in Chenab and Tawi riverd.

Two youths, 18-year-old Zulqarnain and 17-year-old Usman, residents of Pindi Miani village, jumped into the river to take a bath and drowned because the water was deeper than expected.

The local people pulled them out of the river on their own but the two youths died due to staying in the water for too long.

Meanwhile, two youths, 16-year-old Hasnain Mushtaq, a resident of Barila Sharif and 14-year-old Saad, drowned while bathing in the river Tawi at Sarkhpur.

On the information of local people, diving rescue teams tried to pull the two youths out from the 20-foot deep water, but they both died.

Even though, section 144 was imposed by the district administration on bathing in the river but four youths have died during the past 24 hours whose bodies were handed over to the heirs.
