Anant Ambani, one of the heirs to the Ambani fortune, and his fiancé Radhika Merchant are setting the bar high with their pre-wedding festivities, and they've kicked things off in true billionaire style. Picture this: the serene waters of the Mediterranean, a luxurious cruise, and the dulcet tones of none other than the Backstreet Boys serenading the 800 guests. Word on deck is that the next acts to grace the stage could be none other than Katy Perry, Shakira and Mr Worldwide himself, Pitbull, as per a report by Hindustan Times.
Recently, a video from the private cruise festivities, which surfaced on social media, sees Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean, and Kevin Richardson of Backstreet Boys, dressed in their all-white outfits, as they performed their track I Wanna Be with You. The audience was enamoured with their performance, setting the bar sky-high for Katy, Shakira and Pitbull. They'll need to bring their A-game to match the atmosphere created by the boy band.
While the singers haven't confirmed these rumours, DNA reports suggest that Shakira is poised to deliver a show-stopping performance, with a price tag that underscores the sheer magnitude of the event. The Waka Waka singer reportedly charges between INR 100 million and INR 150 million.
While they may be only rumours at this point, it isn’t far-fetched that the Ambani’s would splurge (if the term even exists in their vocabulary) and hire the best of the best to perform. If you remember their pre-wedding celebrations in Jamnagar in March, it featured a performance by another global superstar, Rihanna. The Grammy-winning artist’s performance captivated the audience and immediately went viral.
Social media is buzzing with snippets from the festivities, from Ranveer Singh striking a pose under the star-studded sky to the infectious energy of the Backstreet Boys. Other big names in attendance are Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Karan Johar and Janhvi Kapoor. There are chances more may join during their stops in Rome, Cannes and Portofino.
