Two weeks after attending the Met Gala, Elizabeth Debicki is in Los Angeles, campaigning for an Emmy nomination for her portrayal of Princess Diana in "The Crown." In a recent interview with Variety, she shared insights into her experiences at the Met Gala, her time on "The Crown," and her upcoming horror film debut.

At the Met Gala, Debicki found herself seated between Jude Law and Matt Damon, jokingly referring to it as a "Ripley sandwich" due to their roles in the "Talented Mr. Ripley" franchise. She also confessed to having more fun at this year's event, attributing it to her age and newfound wisdom.

As she campaigns for Emmy recognition, Debicki acknowledges the bittersweet feeling of wrapping up her time on "The Crown." She reflects on the personal and professional growth she experienced while playing Princess Diana, calling it a "terrifying challenge" that yielded valuable treasures.

Debicki has already amassed a collection of awards for her performance, including a SAG award that she won over "Succession" star Sarah Snook. She recounted her genuine surprise at the win and a humorous encounter with Snook backstage at a theatre performance.

After "The Crown," Debicki will be seen in the horror film "MaXXXine." She surprised her team by accepting the role, drawn in by the script's brilliance and the opportunity to work with a talented cast and crew. While she has been cautious about taking on horror roles in the past, Debicki was intrigued by the trilogy's unique concept and '80s setting.
