Queen Camilla recently enjoyed a "fantastic" secret night at the theatre with her five relatively unknown grandchildren, according to the Daily Express.

The Queen, along with King Charles, toured the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in central London on Wednesday.

RADA has trained numerous leading actors, including Sir Anthony Hopkins, Imelda Staunton, and Tom Hiddleston.

During their visit, Queen Camilla conversed with actor and former RADA student Daniel Mays, who previously played Nathan Detroit in the musical Guys and Dolls.

When Mays inquired about her experience taking her grandchildren to see the production at London’s Bridge Theatre, Camilla responded, "It was fantastic."

Reflecting on the encounter, Mays told the Daily Express, "She loved it and she took all her grandkids, and they said they had the most incredible night."

Mays added, "I left about three months ago, and towards the end of my run she came with all her grandkids. We were only told on the day there would be an important royal visit, so we were wondering who it was going to be."

This visit marked Charles and Camilla's first major public event since Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced a summer general election on July 4.

The monarchy has postponed engagements that could distract from the election campaign.

Queen Camilla has five grandchildren from her two children - Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes - with her first husband. Tom's children are Lola, 16, and Frederick, 14, while Laura's are Eliza, 16, and 15-year-old twins Gus and Louis, the Daily Mirror noted.

Gus, Louis, and their cousin Freddy, 13, served as Pages of Honour at their grandmother's coronation.
