Fans are discussing whether Drake's rendition of "Ratchet Happy Birthday" surpasses the original version performed by PARTYNEXTDOOR.
It has been six years since Drake released his album Scorpion, which includes some of his most popular tracks such as "God's Plan," "Nice For What," "Nonstop," and "In My Feelings."
The album produced several lesser-known tracks that didn't receive as much recognition as some of the rapper's major hits. However, "Ratchet Happy Birthday" stands out among them.
The R&B-infused track appears on the album's second disc and contains some memorable lyrics. Fans are now showing revived interest in the track following a recent leak that shed light on its creation.
The initial reference track for the song has been leaked, sung by Drake's colleague from OVO, PARTYNEXTDOOR.
Following the release of his latest album, PND4, PARTYNEXTDOOR was previously involved in the creation of Scorpion back in 2018.
As part of his assistance, he recorded his own rendition of what later evolved into "Ratchet Happy Birthday" for reference purposes.
As with many reference track leaks, fans couldn't help but debate whether it was actually better than the original.
