In a dramatic confrontation that unfolded outside a Manhattan courthouse, former President Donald Trump lambasted actor Robert De Niro, labeling him a "wacko" and criticizing his political activism.

The fiery exchange took place early Wednesday as De Niro participated in a surprise press conference held by Joe Biden's campaign.

“I never knew how small, both mentally and physically, Wacko Former Actor Robert De Niro was,” Trump posted on Truth Social, taking a jab at De Niro’s stature and mental acuity.

The former president also accused the actor of suffering from "TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME," a term he claimed is recognized in the medical community.

De Niro, who was at the courthouse to deliver prepared remarks as Trump's defense team wrapped up their closing arguments, didn't hold back in his criticism of Trump.

“I don’t mean to scare you. No, wait, maybe I do mean to scare you,” De Niro said, warning of the dire consequences if Trump were to return to the White House.

He ominously added, "If he gets in. I can tell you right now. He will never leave. He will never leave. You know that. He will never leave.”

The event quickly spiraled into chaos when Trump supporters began shouting down De Niro with anti-Biden and anti-De Niro chants, leading to further exchanges of insults.

De Niro responded to a protester’s accusations of being a “paid actor for the DNC” and having ties to Jeffrey Epstein by exclaiming, “You’re a f–king idiot.”

Following the tumultuous scene, Trump’s 2024 national press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, criticized De Niro, stating that “actors like Robert De Niro” are out of touch with "the real problems that people in this city and across this country are facing."
