Well-known Twitch streamer Jeremy “Jerma985,” or simply “Jerma,” has provided a significant update regarding his streaming career.

Jeremy Elbertson is known for his YouTube content, voice acting and "almost surreal" Twitch live streams. He predominantly streams video games like The Sims, engaging with viewers through chat interaction.

At the end of his stream on May 27, 2024, Jerma985 replied to the question, "are you suggesting that you've succeeded in streaming?"

Jeremy responded: “No, I’m implying that I got everything I wanted out of it. I got everything I could’ve ever dreamed of in my entire life. So… I think it’s time to slow it down and stop, and do whatever I want. You know? I have got everything that I ever wanted out of this particular thing in my life, right?”

Shortly after, Jerma985 elaborated on why he chose not to make a formal "statement" regarding his retirement from livestreaming.

He said: “I know, it’s like, ‘should you make a statement about it? I don’t know. Because if I make a statement, it’s kind of making it a… solidified, ‘here is exactly…’ but I don’t even know what happens from here. I really just don’t.”

The 38-year-old then expressed that he had come to a juncture where he desired to steer his career in a different direction.

He continued :“all I know is that I hit that point where I’m kind of done with it, as like, I want to say a career choice. And now, it’s just when I feel like it. It’s flip-flopping around.”
