Rivalry: 2 killed, 1 injured over land dispute

Police said the two groups were engrossed in litigation over a long standing land dispute.

KASUR: Two people were killed while another received severe injuries in a firing incident early on Tuesday morning. According to police officials, Village Rakh Jhok resident accused Zulfiqar and his five companions resorted to indiscriminate firing on his rival Gulzar and his bodyguard. The two men died on the spot while another person Babar Ali received severe bullet injuries and was shifted to a hospital in Lahore in critical condition. Police said the two groups were engrossed in litigation over a long standing land dispute. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
