SANGHAR:

The rural areas of Sanghar district are experiencing extreme heat, with temperatures shooting to 47 degrees Celsius.

The unannounced power outages have added more to the miseries, leaving citizens struggling to look for ice. The cities including Sanghar, Sanjhor, Jhol Kandiaro, Warah, and Ruti are particularly affected. The vendors have increased the price of ice.

A small bar of ice typically sold for Rs20 is now being sold for Rs300. The intense heat has strained the supply capabilities of ice factories, while profiteers exploit the situation by hiking the prices.
