A strong voice silenced by gunfire
The central committee of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) has expressed deep sorrow and regret over the martyrdom of Nasrullah Gadani who was killed in an armed attack.
In their condolence statement, the central committee conveyed heartfelt sympathies and condolences to Gadani's grieving family, urging them to remain patient and stating that MQM shares their grief in this difficult time.
The committee highlighted that Nasrullah Gadani was a strong voice for independent journalism in Mirpur Mathelo, silenced by brutal killers through gunfire. Gadani consistently raised his voice against oppressive landlords, feudal lords, and corrupt bureaucracy in rural Sindh. His martyrdom is a significant loss for Pakistan, depriving it of a true and honest journalist. The committee also criticized the Sindh government's silence on Gadani's murder, finding it incomprehensible.
The MQM-P central committee has called on Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori, the Inspector General of Sindh, and other authorities to immediately arrest Gadani's killers and ensure they receive due punishment.
