PML-N decides to reinstate LBs in Punjab
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has decided to reinstate the local bodies in Punjab, the party sources said on Thursday.
It was said that the local bodies elections in the province were expected to be held in 2025. The PML-N sources maintained that party supremo Nawaz Sharif would announce the date for the polls after taking charge of the party as president.
The PML-N sources noted that the purpose of the local bodies elections was to strengthen the organisational structure of the party, adding that the party had commenced preparations for the polls.

The PML-N leadership is willing to make some changes with regards to the local bodies before the elections.
The party spokesperson observed that PML-N being “real people’s democratic party” was a torch bearer for the reinstatement of the local bodies.
He said the previous local bodies were also conducted by the PML-N in 2015.
