Hasan has reportedly informed the police that a group of people who appeared to be transgender attacked him in the parking lot of a private news channel's office. He claimed a similar attempt was made on him two days ago in the capital's Blue Area.

A day earlier, the PTI leader was attacked by a group of trans persons in the federal capital. He was struck in the face with a blade.

Following the attack, the perpetrators managed to flee the scene with ease. The PTI leader was transferred to a hospital for medical treatment. He was later discharged from the hospital.

The spokesperson for Islamabad Police said they were collecting evidence from the scene, vowing to take action against the attackers.

According to police sources, five teams have been formed to investigate various aspects of the attack. They added that CCTV and safe city cameras were being utilized to aid the investigation and that checkpoints were being established at different locations to arrest the assailants.

They revealed that the attack appeared to be an assassination attempt, adding that the blade used during the incident caused a deep wound to the face of the PTI leader.

PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan condemned the attack and demanded immediate investigation and action.

A message posted on incarcerated PTI founder Imran Khan's account on X, managed by his social media team, stated: “The entire nation knows who is orchestrating these attacks on our leadership. It’s the same powers that lurk in the shadows and use proxies to harass & threaten judges and make a mockery of elections by brazenly tampering results.

“Let us make it very clear that PTI will not be deterred by such dirty tactics & violence which only serve to expose the perpetrators before the nation.”
