A man was caught with the body of his wife in his car in the Makli police station limits.
The suspect was secretly shifting the body of his slain wife for the burial from Tandojam town of Hyderabad to Thatta district was arrested by Makli police on Sunday.
The SHO Tandojam police station Farhanuddin Memon informed on Monday that Makli police handed over two arrested suspects as well as the body to their custody.
According to the SHO, Deedar Ali Dhamaj allegedly killed his wife Sami Narejo with a sharp object at their home in Tando Kaiser town in Tando Jam. He later packed the body and placed it in a Suzuki Mehran car to take it for a secret burial in some place in Thatta.
However, the SHO said, Makli police arrested Dhamaj and his driver Zulfiqar Sheedi and reported the matter to Tando Jam police. Memon said Dhamaj allegedly used to subject his wife to domestic violence.
The Tandojam police also registered an FIR on complaint of Atta Muhammad Narejo, uncle of Narejo, under section 302, nominating Dhamaj and Sheedi. The dead body was shifted to Liaquat University Hospital for post-mortem. The vehicle which was used in the alleged crime has also been impounded.
