Nicole 'Snooki' Polizzi and her husband Jionni LaValle have been "living apart" and their marriage has been "on the rocks" for years following the 2015 Ashley Madison hack.

Nicole met Jionni in 2010 while filming season 3 of the original Jersey Shore series when the cast visited the nightclub Karma. They married in November 2014.

Sources have claimed to The US Sun that the reality star frequently vents to "everyone" about her troubled relationship.

"They stay apart a lot of the time. Within the last several months she said she hadn't seen Jionni in awhile and that he had left the house."

According to the source, the reality star and her husband, who prefers to stay out of the spotlight, alternate between their two homes located in different parts of New Jersey.

"Nicole will sleep in her bed with the kids, and Jionni will be in another bedroom and wont get into their bed till she leaves," they shared.

The insider further mentioned that the couple frequently engages in hurtful, verbally abusive arguments, resulting in Nicole shedding tears.

"She's always said she doesn't have the best relationship, she says it in front of everyone all the time, but it never airs."

The insider also expressed their belief that Nicole is shielded from negative storylines on the MTV series due to her popularity among fans and her sizable social media following.

Ashley Madison scandal

In 2015, a hack of the Ashley Madison website, which facilitated extramarital affairs, uncovered Jionni's email among the purported subscribers.

Snooki refuted the accusations at that time, addressing them in an Instagram post where she stated, “This morning when I got a call from my publicist that a story was going to be printed on my husband ‘allegedly’ signing up on Ashley Madison, I laughed — and said lets not even comment and give the story any juice, because it couldn’t be any further from the truth."

"So no, my husband didn’t sign up on that website to cheat on me. Honestly, if he wanted to cheat — he would go out and do it. Not sign up on a website and pay for it," Nicole continued to express.

Despite those allegations, the couple has stayed married.
