Army officer martyred, three terrorists slain in Zhob operation: ISPR
An army officer laid down his life while leading an intelligence-based operation in the Sambaza area of Balochistan’s Zhob district that eliminated three terrorists, the army’s media wing confirmed on Tuesday.
According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces conducted the operation in the general area of Sambaza, Zhob District. The engagement with the terrorists was intense, leading to the successful elimination of the threat.
"During the conduct of the operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists' location, as a result of which three terrorists were sent to hell. Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were also recovered from the killed terrorists," the ISPR statement read.

The statement said that during the intense exchange of fire, leading his troops from the front, Major Babar Khan, aged 33 and a resident of district Mianwali, having fought gallantly, paid the ultimate sacrifice and embraced martyrdom.
In the aftermath of the encounter, a sanitisation operation is underway to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining terrorist presence in the area.
“Security forces of Pakistan, in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts of sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan, and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve, the statement asserted.
