Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday said that Pakistan was keen to learn from Korea’s experience in industrialisation and small and medium enterprises’ growth as well as in the field of information technology including artificial intelligence.
The prime minister, while talking to South Korean Ambassador to Pakistan Park Ki Jun, offered to enhance the export of skilled manpower from Pakistan to meet Seoul’s needs for human resources. While expressing the desire to work closely to further strengthen bilateral ties, PM Shehbaz stressed that Pakistan and Korea were enjoying good relations, particularly in trade and investment.
Both countries have cooperated since the early 1960s in economic development while the East Asian nation has transformed remarkably into a modern, technologically advanced economy.
To promote mutually beneficial trade, the PM proposed the exchange of business delegations between South Korea and Pakistan. In this regard, all relevant cabinet members would be given directives to coordinate with the Korean side to discuss about the existing investments made by Korean companies as well as explore new opportunities of capital injection.
