Explosion caused by locally made explosive device, reveals BDS investigation

HYDERABAD:

A low intensity explosion near a railway track close to the underpass in Latifabad unit number seven area in Hyderabad on Saturday caused temporarily suspension of the train operation.

According to the counter-terrorism department, the explosion did not cause any damage to the track except leaving a small crater in the ground.

The police halted the movement of trains for over half-an-hour during which they searched the area and collected traces of the explosives. A shadowy nationalist outfit claimed responsibility for the attack.

According to the district police spokesperson, the explosion was the result of a domestically manufactured explosive device.
