Hilary Duff has announced the birth of her fourth child, daughter Townes Meadow Bair.
The actor took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce the arrival of her fourth child, daughter Townes Meadow Bair.
Duff shared a series of black-and-white photos showcasing candid moments from her water birth experience. “Townes Meadow Bair, now we know why she made us wait so long… She was perfecting those cheeks!” she wrote in the caption.
The post also features pictures of the actor’s husband, Matthew Koma, cradling their newborn daughter.
“We all love you like you’ve been here all along beauty,” the “Lizzie McGuire” actor wrote, expressing her love for her newborn.
This is the third child for Duff and Koma, who are already parents to daughters Banks Violet Bair, 5, and Mae James Bair, 3. The “How I Met Your Father” actor also shares a 12-year-old son, Luca, with her ex-husband Mike Comrie.
Duff announced her pregnancy with Townes in December 2023, sharing a photo of her family's holiday card on Instagram, which read, “So much for silent nights,” hinting at the upcoming addition to their family.
In a December interview with USA Today, Duff opened up about motherhood and the lessons it has taught her, “It's taken me having three kids to be like, ‘I am not in control of everyone's emotions all the time.’”
She added, “It's just something that you have to let go and be like, ‘It's not always how I pictured it is going to be.’”
