Capital plagued by spate of robberies

Citizens lose vehicles, cash and valuables in 14 separate incidents

ISLAMABAD:

Police stations around the city registered 14 separate incidents in which citizens of the federal capital were deprived of eight motorcycles, one car, hundreds of thousands in cash, gold ornaments and other valuables.

Asim reported to the Koral police station that around 9 tola of gold ornaments and three sets of silver jewellery were stolen from his house in Sharifabad. Raja R reported to Shahzad Town police station that three masked bandits entered his house in Rawal Town, took him and his wife hostage, and made away with Rs80,000 in cash, five gold bangles and two gold earrings worth Rs1.2 million.

Burhan N reported to Khanna police station that on the occasion of his valima, a boy stole envelopes containing cash wedding gifts and gold ornaments worth Rs4.5 million right from the marquee where the event was held. Farooq G reported to Lohi Bher police station that three armed robbers entered his house situated in the Police Foundation area and stole Rs250,000 in cash, gold jewellery and a mobile phone.

Kamran A filed a case with the Sabzi Mandi police station stating that he was present at the Wheat Godam Chowk Mandi Mor when three armed boys snatched Rs60,000 and his mobile phone from him at gunpoint. Sahil W reported to the Koral police station that two boys on a motorcycle came and snatched his wife's purse at gunpoint. He stated that the purse contained cash and gold jewellery worth Rs152,000.

Abdul Q reported at the I-9 police station that his Roma, with car number QW 480, was stolen from the parking lot of Shifa Hospital. Aziz H reported to Sumbal police station that his motorcycle, number AGM 353, was stolen in G-13/4. Mohammad S reported to Shahzad Town police station that his motorcycle, number RIO 889, was stolen from a dental hospital parking lot. Aamir A reported to the Karachi police station that his motorcycle, number ASL 173, was stolen from G-8 Markaz.

Muhammad A reported to Margalla police station that his motorcycle, number CBQ 272, was stolen from outside Centaurus Mall. Amman A reported to the I-9 police station that his motorcycle, number AEB 7113, was stolen from I-9/3. Saifullah reported to the Noon police station that his motorcycle, number BGM 120, was stolen from the highway. Ahsan reported to Shehzad Town police station that his motorcycle, number SLM 2044, was stolen from Hamdard University.

The concerned police stations have registered the cases but no incident has been traced as of yet.
