Ryan Gosling has recently revealed that his two children, Esmeralda Amada (9) and Amada Lee (8), put their foot down when it came to a particular stunt in his new film, "The Fall Guy."
Despite Gosling's reassurances about safety measures, his daughters were reportedly not having any of it when they heard about a scene involving fire.
"My kids didn't want me to be set on fire," Gosling told People. "Even though I said, 'Well, it's actually, technically the safer thing to do because there's a lot of protective stuff involved,'" he recalled, his daughters remained unconvinced. "They were like, 'No. No fire.' So I didn't do it."
In the end, it was one of Gosling's several stunt doubles, Ben Jenkin, who took the fiery plunge.
While Gosling opted out of the fire stunt, he did perform some of his own stunts for the movie, which is a homage to the stunt performers who make Hollywood action sequences possible.
The actor, who admits to a fear of heights, even filmed a scene where his character drops backward 12 stories off a building!
"The Fall Guy," which also stars Emily Blunt, is in theaters now.
